Applications:

 HBS(Hotel booking system)

The HBS was developed using Microsoft’s newest version of its server-side scripting language ASP.NET with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as a database server. This capable and at the same time affordable relational DBMS (RDBMS) provides high-level security of the data stored and high-speed access to the information.

ASP.NET is Microsoft’s latest edition of its ASP (Active Server Pages) technology for building dynamic, server-side applications. Part of the Microsoft .NET platform for developing web services and applications, ASP.NET is a server-side technology that runs on an application server working in conjunction with a web server.

Web services and SOA for FAM

We have developed some web portals and some web applications using service-oriented architecture.

SOAs offer the following advantages over traditional approaches to distributed computing:

• They offer business services across the platforms
• They provide location independence
• Services need not be at a particular system or particular network
• Completely loosely coupled approach
• Authentication and authorization support at every level
