Présentation du projet : Hello, The djfrance.net site is a communauty for French DJ's (disk jockeys). According to it's size, the site needs a real playlist management system, based on users advices.the site runs with LAMP - PHP 4 and mySQL, with the XOOPS CMS - Content management system. I hope you have a good knowledge of the CMS.
Here are the function expexted: music playlist, user authorizations, lists of playlist, search options, buying tracks or abums online with Amazon or Kelkoo, votes. No MP3 file upload is required because djfrance does not want to store music files. Playlist are arranged by categories by default, but they can also have tags. The document explains what is expected from this module, and how it should work. The document should give you an idea of what is needed for the djfrance.net site. The playlist have got some basics options, and some more advanced options. The options to buy a music and the social network aspect is very important.

Bonjour, - Vu que ce n'est pas spécifié dans votre cahier des charges, est ce que vous avez des spécification concernant le streaming des playlists ? vu que les fichiers MP3 ne seront pas sur votre serveur, vous voullez que les utilisateurs aient un lecteur integré pour écouter la playlist ? - Pour l'achat des albums ? je n'ai pas encore compris si l'achat concerne les chansons utilisés dans la playlist (recherche sur amazon, etc ...) ou si c'est un sorte de paiement pour un mix déposé par un DJ ? Sinon, je trouve que votre projet est réalisable, pas à ce prix là, mais réalisable. Je n'ai pas fait encore d'offre car pour être honête il faut que j'inspecte un peu le code de xoops, mais sachez que je suis très à l'aise en modules pour CMS, donc si le délai est suffisant, ça ne devrais pas causer de problèmes. Thanks for taking time to answer my message.
1 - What about the listening of music? How will the visitor listen to a track?
the Djfrance.net site does not want to store the music files.
This means that the visitor won't be able to listen to a track directly form a link pointing on djfrance.net.
If he wants to listen to a track, he can do it via the Amazon site or the Kelkoo site, when he is on the right page.
He gets on the right page because the playlist module sends a query to Amazon with the music title/the group name/the album name.
The user who creates the playlist can put a link to another web page of his choice.
The Amazon API comes as a simple Webservice. Here are the first Web services that they have exposed:
- Product Display : The ability to search for and retrieve product information from the Amazon.com catalog.
- Shopping Cart : The ability to add Amazon.com products to shopping carts, wish lists, and registries from third party locations.
Let's note that I already have a module than do queries to the Amazon site.
This xoops module is called xooperstore (I don't have the last version, but some code could be reused).

I also have the Amaxoops module.
2 - What about the listening and buying?
DJFrance has no intention to sell a mix made by a DJ.
Next to each track in the playlist, there is a button that sends some information to the Amazon or Kelkoo site.
In fact, the music title, the group name, and the album are used to query Amazon.
